Your rights in Switzerland
Swiss law provides no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. This differs from the European Union, where a fourteen-day cooling-off period applies automatically.
The policy below is therefore a commercial commitment we make voluntarily, not a legal obligation. It does not limit your rights if a product is defective, which fall under the statutory warranty in articles 197 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
14-day returns
You may return an item within fourteen days of receiving it, provided it is:
- unopened and unused
- in its intact original packaging
- accompanied by the order number
Refunds are issued within ten working days of the parcel arriving, to the payment method used at purchase.
Items we cannot take back
For hygiene and safety reasons, some items cannot be returned once opened or unsealed:
- hygiene products and disinfectants
- opened sunscreen and after-sun products
- unwrapped masks and protective items
- opened repellents and insect treatments
- unwrapped earplugs and sleep masks
- water purification tablets and rehydration sachets
This restriction does not apply if the product is defective or is not what you ordered.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Contact us within seven days of delivery, with a photo if possible. We cover return shipping and offer either a replacement or a refund, as you prefer.
Check expiry dates on arrival: if an item arrives dated too close for your trip, tell us and we will exchange it.
How to return something
- Email order@abc-office.ch with your order number and the reason.
- Wait for our confirmation before sending anything.
- Return the parcel to the address we give you.
Return shipping is at your expense, except for faulty, incorrect or damaged goods. We recommend a tracked service: without proof of posting, a lost parcel cannot be refunded.
Unclaimed parcels
A parcel returned because it was not collected in time is refunded less the outbound and return postage actually incurred.
